Leaving the Valley on a warm summer afternoon offers the perfect escape from the town’s hustle and bustle. A quick drive up Highway 88 leads to the Sierra Nevada foothills, where a refreshing change of scenery awaits in less than an hour. While fine dining may not be the first thing that comes to mind, the Lone Wolf Restaurant & Lounge at Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort delivers a delightful culinary experience—ideal for a date night getaway.

A Stunning Atmosphere with Open-Air Dining At Lone Wolf

Stepping off the casino floor and onto the second level, the restaurant’s grand open kitchen immediately catches the eye. Chefs in crisp white coats work behind the counter, flames flickering as they prepare dinner for their guests. To the right, a beautiful wine library showcases an impressive selection, while at the bar, a bartender crafts artisan cocktails. Guests can choose to dine in the elegant dining room or on the open-air rooftop patio, where live music and cozy ambiance set the perfect tone for the evening.

Culinary Talent & Signature Dishes At Lone Wolf

For over seven years, Lone Wolf has served as Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort’s premier dining destination, bringing together top culinary talent from across California. The newest addition, Chef Jason Azevedo, works alongside Executive Chef Peter Dicorti, crafting dishes that highlight fresh, high-quality ingredients.

The evening began with a seasonal Black Mission Fig Pizza, featuring roasted garlic, chèvre, speck, and arugula on a crisp, toasty crust. Next, the chile-lime Street Corn, fresh from Brentwood, arrived at its sweetest peak—roasted and topped with chile-lime mayo, cilantro, pickled red onions, and cotija cheese. Its incredible flavor made it one of the best street corn dishes we’ve ever had.

Indulgent Entrées Worth the Trip

Lone Wolf’s standout entrées include the Grilled Caribbean Lobster Tail and the Blue-Cheese Crusted New York Steak.

  • The lobster tail arrives plated to impress, with its fine herb butter glaze enhancing its rich, fresh flavor. A baked potato and seasonal vegetables complete the dish.

  • The 12-ounce New York steak is perfectly grilled, featuring a savory blue cheese crust. It sits atop a mound of creamy homemade mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables.

Both dishes make the date night escape well worth the trip from the Valley!
