Jackson Rancheria Donates $15,000 to Support Amador Giving Tuesday

The Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians proudly donated $15,000 in matching funds to support this year’s Amador Giving Tuesday. Organized by the Amador Community Foundation, this annual event raises money for nonprofit organizations that serve the Amador County community.

“On behalf of the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians, it is an honor to have the ability to support this giving campaign and our local nonprofits who do such important work in Amador County,” said Crystal Jack, CEO of Jackson Rancheria. “This year has been particularly challenging for these organizations and we are hopeful that the donation will positively impact our local communities while providing vital services to those who need it most.”

Now in its sixth year, Amador Giving Tuesday plays a major role in helping local charities raise vital funds. For example, in 2019, the event generated over $214,000 for causes including youth programs, food assistance, animal rescue, and senior services.

Matching funds like Jackson Rancheria’s inspire more giving. They also help amplify the impact of every dollar donated. As a result, nonprofits can serve more families and expand critical services.

This donation reflects the Tribe’s commitment to community support. It also honors the legacy of Margaret Dalton, founder of the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians. She believed in creating lasting change by helping others, a value the Tribe continues to uphold.

As Giving Tuesday approaches, the Tribe encourages everyone to get involved. Whether you give $5 or $500, your support matters. Together, we can uplift those in need and strengthen our local community.
